L
k.ALTy7,11
Louisville
COLORADO • S1NC N -
CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA ITEM 6D
SUBJECT:
APPROVAL OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN LAFAYETTE,
ESTES PARK, AND LOUISVILLE FOR LUCITY ASSET
MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE LICENSING COSTS
DATE: DECEMBER 5, 2017
PRESENTED BY: KURT KOWAR, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends approval of a First Amendment to an Intergovernmental Agreement
with Lafayette and Estes Park for sharing the cost of a Lucity, asset management
software license, pro -rata by population and module use.
In June 2014, the three cities negotiated an agreement with Lucity to allow the
communities to buy one software license and split the costs. The cities have all
implemented Lucity to various degrees and split the ongoing licensing costs.
Currently, one license of Lucity with all modules costs $35,700 per year. Through the
agreement, Louisville's pro -rata share is $15,183.
The original 2014 IGA contemplated an agreement that provided for a 3 -year term. This
amendment provides for a new 6 -year term to continue the partnership and cost
sharing.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The approved 2018 budget provides for software licensing costs related to Lucity.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends City Council approve the intergovernmental agreement with
Lafayette and Estes Park, and authorize the Mayor, Public Works Director and City
Clerk to sign and execute documents on behalf of the City.
ATTACHMENT(S):
1.
