Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />October 23, 2017 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />Chairperson Lipton called for any objections to the boundaries of the <br />neighborhood being the current city limits of the City of Louisville. Hearing no <br />objections, she moved the entire application be made a part of the record of this <br />hearing. Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />Lipton called for an applicant presentation. <br />Michael Lawinski, 691 Tamarisk Court, Louisville, CO introduced himself to the <br />Authority and took the oath. He noted he is excited to be in Louisville. The <br />company has faced the challenges of growth and is glad to have found the <br />location in Louisville. Being in the Colorado Technology Center (CTC) there are <br />possibilities for lunch and after work business. He doesn't see much evening <br />business right now. The nature of the business is to produce their beer to <br />distribute. <br />Lipton asked for any comments in favor of the application. None were heard. <br />Lipton asked for any member of the audience who wished to speak in opposition <br />to the application. Hearing none, she asked for the applicant's closing remarks. <br />Carlson asked about production and changes in the interior. Mr. Lawinski noted <br />they are set up to do 8,000 barrels from day one and the system will allow for <br />more if needed. He said the interior will remain mostly industrial and even the <br />restaurant area will have an industrial feel. They hope to attract the neighboring <br />businesses for lunch. <br />Lipton asked about training. Mr. Lawinski noted they currently TIPS train their <br />employees and will continue to do so. They card everyone. <br />Authority Attorney Culley asked about the address discrepancy on the lease and <br />noted it would need corrected before the application could be forwarded to the <br />State. Mr. Lawinski stated he was aware and would get the change to the <br />Secretary. <br />Lipton thanked the applicant, closed the public hearing and asked for Authority <br />comment. <br />Machado moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find <br />the applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood <br />desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable <br />requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority <br />approve issuance of a Brew pub liquor license for FATE Beer LLC doing <br />business as FATE Brewing Company.
