z. a <br />~~`' <br />i~ ~~ r <br />~:~= <br />Resource Conservation <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 13, 2008 <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Mark Perchetti called the meeting to order at 6:45 <br />p.m. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Mark Persichetti, Richard Smith, Ryan Hughes, <br />Jenny Braus, and Annie Hughes <br />Board Members Absent: Beth Armbruster and Victor Goldstein. <br />Staff Members Present: Ken Mason, Operations Manager for City of <br />Louisville <br />Approval of Agenda -The agenda was approved by all members. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -The minutes from August 8, and September 15, <br />2008 meetings were approved as written. Members were asked to review April <br />14, 2008 minutes. <br />Public Comments - Guest :Gerry Christiansen (303-926-0503 <br />mobiletelecom@aol.com) introduced the Transition Boulder County Program <br />(http://www.bouldercountyaoinglocal.com/transitionnews.html), the main goal of <br />which is bringing food and energy sources closer to home. The local program <br />originates from a global program that started in the UK and is now in Australia, <br />New Zealand, and other countries. Gerry said that the City of Lyons is now <br />involved in the program. <br />General Discussion Topics: <br />Councilman Dave Clabots dropped into announce that the City has received <br />responses to its Request for Proposals for the proposed single trash hauler <br />system and will begin reviewing them at the City Council meeting on Monday, <br />November 3. The RFP requires that any contract will have to specify that <br />recyclables go to Boulder County Recycling Center.
