Call to Order- Laura called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm. <br />II. Roll Call - <br />Board Members Present: Helen Moshak, Laura Scott Denton, Missy Davis, Mike <br />Schantz, Jim Gibb, Fiona Garvin, David Blankinship, Peter Gowen <br />Board Members Absent: None <br />City Council Members Present: Jeff Lipton <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Joe Stevens <br />III. Approval of Agenda - <br />Peter moved to approve the agenda as written. Helen seconded. The motion was <br />passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes— <br />Helen moved to approve the minutes with the change in spelling of Peter's last <br />name from "Gowan" to Gowen. Jim Gibb seconded. The motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br />Peter commented on the Previous Meeting's minutes and recommended to use <br />actual City Council language if applicable in the minutes rather than paraphrasing. <br />V. Staff Updates— Ember <br />A. Partnerships this year: <br />1. Thorne Nature Experience summer camp in Louisville Jun -Jul; nature <br />play and exploration; leave no trace principles (remove forts; otherwise <br />violates OS principles). <br />2. Year of the Bird with National Geographic, Cornell Ornithological Lab, and <br />Audubon - to support bird conservation in this Year of the Bird Migratory <br />Bird Treaty Act celebration. Plan to place two more panels at Hecla bird <br />blind and possibly install binoculars for kids' use. <br />3.. Coal Creek Elem April 6: Coyotes. <br />4.. Louisville Middle School Science classes: Prairie ecosystems and trees <br />5. Kids to Parks day; local, state & fed lands May 19 - volunteers will be <br />needed to staff various stations. <br />6. Boulder County Youth Corps. <br />B. Added trash cans at Davidson Mesa as recommended by dog user group. <br />C. Installed Lake Park interpretive panel. <br />D. Walk & Talk with the Mayor: this Saturday (2/17/2018); moving from <br />quarterly to Monthly. <br />E. Reviewing trail at 104th street; this project was halted due to absence of <br />signalized intersections.
