MATCHING FASTENERS - COLOR COORDINATED FASTENERS TO SECURE THE METAL PANELS TO THE <br />BUILDING <br />EXISTING RETAINING <br />N <br />This proposed project has been developed to upgrade the existing building at <br />8415 Via Appla to meet the needs arid life safety requirements of the fire <br />district. The following scope of work is being proposed: <br />I. Full interior demolition of the east portion of the Wilding <br />2. Rebuilding the interior to position the commercial spaces onto the main floor <br />and the residential spaces on the second floor. <br />3. Install security doors to provide secure separation of the two general uses. <br />4. Add a new stair east of the building footprint to provide access to aid life <br />safety egress from the second floor residential spaces. <br />5. Add a main floor addition east of the building, in the existing courtyard to <br />contain a vestibule / waiting space and a safe haven. <br />b. The second floor will Include 8 dorms with the necesscry life safety <br />measures, 4 single occupant shower rooms, 2 workstations, a full kitchen, <br />resident laundry, cmd daToom. <br />1. A firepole will be added to speed access to the cpparatus bogs. The <br />existing north stair will be replaced with code compliant stairs. <br />5. Remove existirg interior furnaces cold exterior air conditioning condensing <br />units, replaced by new rooftop packaged air handling units set atop the <br />apparatus bap. <br />q. Install a fire sprinkler system throughout the entire facility. <br />10.1nterior renovation of the westernmost apparatus bay to include functional <br />support spaces of gear decontamination, service Icyndry, air tank fill station, <br />aid workroom and a fitness room. <br />II.
