Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />January 3, 2018 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Wednesday. The Commission decided to keep the March 7th meeting and discuss <br />the change of date at the next meeting. <br />IX. Report from the Museum Coordinator: <br />A. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors: <br />The Commission decided to approve the following 6 donations: <br />1. Ron Cutadean and Justine Cassady: items relating to Coal Creek <br />Elementary, Louisville Middle School, and Centaurus High School, including <br />yearbooks and programs. <br />2. Leo Deborski: Two 1948 Louisville High School football programs. <br />3. Dean Lehman and Prairie Mountain Media: photos, mostly black and <br />white and showing Louisville scenes and people, plus newspaper clippings if <br />desired for the Museum's files. Most or all of the photos and clippings <br />appear to date from the 1980s. They originated with the Louisville Times <br />newspaper. <br />4. Bonnie Thompson: digital images of two photos showing men at the Red <br />Ash Mine in Marshall, circa 1915-1920. <br />5. Camille Begley: digital images of 22 photos relating to the Di Francia <br />family of Louisville and the image of a marriage certificate. <br />6. Paula Elrod: yard sign for the successful 2017 ballot issue for the <br />continuation of the Louisville Historic Preservation Tax. <br />B. Advice sought on donations of other artifacts being offered: <br />No advice sought <br />C. Museum Coordinator's written report: Bridget added to her report that Jay <br />Keany will continue in 2018 as the City Council liaison to the Historical <br />Commission. <br />D. Updates on recent developments relating to Museum campus plans and <br />funding: <br />i. Update on the successful passage of the Historic Preservation Tax <br />continuation: The ballot issue 2F on continuing the Historic <br />Preservation Tax passed on the November ballot with over 63%.
