Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda - none <br />City Council Update <br />• Upcoming FFE votes related to the Rec Center are slated for 4/17 and 5/1 <br />council meetings. <br />• The city's transportation master plan will include the Rec Center in <br />multimodal planning. <br />• Council is in the middle of its budget process. <br />• The Rec Center Sales Tax is running ahead of projections, and is likely to <br />trigger TABOR refunds. The tax receipts are running approximately 20% <br />ahead of projections. <br />• There is slated to be a discussion at the 5/17/2018 council meeting about <br />creating official financial policies for the Rec Center and Golf Course, <br />including subsidy levels for activities and/or specific age groups. <br />• Senior Services are slated to be discussed at the 6/19/2018 council <br />meeting. <br />Construction Update <br />• First and second floors are walls are being erected and poured, along with <br />pool walls. <br />• The playroom components included in the meeting packet are strong <br />candidates. This room is scheduled to open 7/25/2018 as part of the <br />phased opening of the facility, although it will serve other functions <br />temporarily as building completion continues. <br />• Turf Gym, studio group exercise spaces and pools will be complete in <br />November. <br />• Demonstration fitness equipment is arriving now. <br />• Signage is being developed. <br />• FFE package 3 is being developed now. <br />• The architects are now sending exterior finish packages. <br />Survey Questions — RAB discussed the upcoming survey of users directed at <br />uncovering users' programming desires for the expanded Rec Center. <br />3 <br />
