Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />• Taking out non-Rec Center related questions <br />• Survey will be available in both online (Survey Monkey) and paper formats <br />• The large blank wall on the west side of the entry area of the Rec Center <br />will have space for users to share their ideas <br />• Discussed creating a timeline describing when we need what data <br />• Questions to be addressed: <br />o How much time will be required for participants to complete survey? <br />o Possibility of skipping sections or completing sections at will? <br />o Incentives for completing survey? <br />• Survey will be submitted for approval by RAB at 4/23/2018 meeting. <br />• Survey committee will review first. <br />• RAB members will have opportunity to previsit survey on Survey Monkey. <br />Work Plan <br />• Because the RAB is a new board, we agreed that the 2018 Work Plan <br />document would be an organic evolving document that will constantly <br />change over the next year. <br />• The RAB needs to take into account the city council's advisory needs <br />when setting the schedule for items to be covered in the Work Plan. <br />• Lisa Norgard will take the lead on this, including creating a draft 2019 <br />Work Plan. <br />Discuss Marketing & Communication Plan for Rec Center & Memory Square <br />• Communicate via Community Updates, Rec Center Updates, Open <br />Houses. <br />• Staff will monitor advertising from local chain gyms. <br />• There was an initial discussion about branding and how the branding <br />concept could apply to Rec Center marketing. <br />• Promotions may be used in the relaunch of Memory Square. <br />• Lisa Norgard and Yvonne Danyluck will work together to review Memory <br />Square grand opening plans. <br />Overview of Program Budget as it relates to the Key Indicators <br />4 <br />
