SUBJECT: SOUTH BOULDER ROAD CONNECTIVITY FEASIBILITY STUDY AND PLAN <br />DATE: MAY 1, 2018 <br />PAGE2OF2 <br />In November of 2017, City staff applied for a Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant to <br />fund a portion of the project. GOCO has approved funding in the amount of $75,000. <br />The City Attorney has reviewed the Agreement and has found the agreement <br />acceptable. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The 2018 Budget includes the following funds: <br />301311-660239 SBR Connectivity Feasibility Study <br />Consultant Contract <br />Remaining Budget <br />$ 47,000 <br />($125,000) <br />($ 78,000) <br />Budget Amendment: <br />GOCO Grant Funds $ 75,000 <br />Additional Budget Amendment $ 3,000 <br />Total $ 78,000 <br />Staff evaluated CIP funds for the project and determined that project expenses slightly <br />exceed the available funds in the budget by $3,000 after the grant funds are applied. <br />The line item shortfall was discussed with the Director of Finance and will be resolved <br />through a budget amendment. The budget amendment will appropriate an additional <br />$78,000 and add $75000 to the revenue budget, both within the Capital Projects Fund. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />The recommended contracts support the goal of providing a safe, well-maintained, <br />effective and efficient multi -modal transportation system at a reasonable cost. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends City Council award the contract to Fehr and Peers per their proposal <br />fee of $125,000, and authorize the Mayor, Public Works Director and City Clerk to sign <br />and execute contract documents on behalf of the City. <br />Staff recommends City Council pass Resolution No. 24, Series 2018 authorizing the <br />Mayor to sign the attached Agreement on behalf of the City. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
