Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 2, 2003 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br /> <br />The City Attorney is requesting the City Council convene an Executive Session <br />for the purpose of consultation with respect to pending litigation (Virginia Hoyle <br />and Ira Hoyle Family Trust v. City of Louisville, Et Al., Case No. 02CV1228, <br />Boulder County District Court, Division 3) <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />The City Attorney is requesting the City Council convene an Executive Session <br />for the purpose of consultation with respect to acquisition of a Conservation <br />Easement <br /> <br />City Clerk Nancy Varra read Section 2.90.050 Public Statement, of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, which governs topics that can be addressed at an executive session. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved the Council convene in Executive Session to discuss <br />pending litigation and to consult with the City Attorney with respect to acquisition of a <br />Conservation Easement, and the Deputy City Manager be included in the session, <br />seconded by Sisk. All in favor. The regular business meeting was suspended at 8:32 p.m. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br /> <br />Davidson called the meeting back to order at 9:15 p.m., and asked the City Attorney to <br />report on the Executive Session. City Attorney Sam Light reported on the two items <br />discussed in executive session. The first item was the potential acquisition of real <br />property interest consisting of a conservation easement, with property subject to the <br />Northwest Parkway IGA. The City Attorney received Council direction with regards to <br />those negotiations. The second item discussed was pending litigation, the Hoyle vs. The <br />City of Louisville. In the executive session the City Attorney received Council direction <br />on future proceedings in that case. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd asked Assistant City Manager for Governmental Affairs <br />Heather Balser to report on the McCaslin/US36 project. Balser announced the joint <br />meeting between Louisville and Superior would be Wednesday, September 10, at 7:00, at <br />the Key Equipment Finance Building in Superior. The meeting has been advertised in <br />the Louisville Times and Daily Camera newspapers, the City's Web Page and on the <br />government television channel. She noted current plans and graphic design for the <br />pedestrian bridge are available for Council review. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd updated Council on the progress of the Police/Court <br />facility. Staff met with FCI Constructors in a pre-construction meeting. She announced <br />the groundbreaking ceremony will Friday, September 5th at 2:00 p.m. The Mayor, City <br />Council and the public are invited to attend. Work on the building is scheduled to begin <br /> <br /> <br />
