Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />May 21, 2018 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Mr. GoIlin reported he was fine with a continuance of either one month or <br />two. <br />Machado moved to continue the show cause hearing until the July 23, 2108 <br />Authority meeting. Carlson seconded. All in favor. Watson and Scriggins <br />absent. Hearing continued. <br />Mr. Gollin noted he knows Mr. Harper, the licensee. They grew up near one <br />another, however, he has not seen Mr. Harper in years. He wanted to <br />disclose this to the Authority in case the licensee, through counsel, had any <br />objections to him prosecuting this case. Mr. Rennich reported they had no <br />objection. Authority members did not have any objection. <br />B. Conversation with Chief Hayes <br />No conversation. <br />Police Department Reports <br />Sergeant Redard noted the other report referred to by the attorneys in the Union <br />Jack case was given to the Authority secretary and will be available for review at <br />the next meeting. He briefly described the facts of the case. <br />Machado asked Secretary Hanson to look at how the Authority handled two show <br />cause hearings previously. Were they handled together or as separate hearings. <br />Sergeant Redard noted the police department held a server training for the Street <br />Faire volunteers. <br />Secretary's Report <br />Hanson thanked the members for their service to the City by serving on the local <br />licensing authority. <br />Authority Attorney's Report <br />No report. <br />Authority Comment <br />Carlson noted he attended a working group meeting with the State Liquor <br />Enforcement Division. He will continue to report back. He said he will also be <br />attending the State training about the changes in liquor law. <br />Adjourn — Machado moved to adjourn. Lipton seconded. All in favor. The <br />meeting was adjourned at 7:22 p.m. <br />
