DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. SERIES 2013 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE, THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, THE 2012 EDITION OF THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE AND THE MOST RECENT STATE ADOPTED EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE; ENACTING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE FOREGOING INTERNATIONAL CODES; ESTABLISHING FEES UNDER THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE; AMENDING, REPEALING AND REENACTING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ADOPTION OF THE FOREGOING INTERNATIONAL CODES; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SUCH CODES. WHEREAS, the City of Louisville RRisRRa Colorado home rule municipal corporation duly organized and existing under laws of the State of Colorado and the City Charter; and; 11, WHEREAS, national building and construction standards have been developed and from time to time amended and updated, as set forth in various model codes, and it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville, and in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare to adopt by reference thereto certain model codes and to make certain amendments thereto which are tailored to accommodate particular circumstances and requirements of the City; and WHEREAS, a core value of the City in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan promotes: "A Healthy, Vibrant, and Sustainable Economy ... where the City understands and appreciates the trust our residents, property owners, and business owners place in it when they invest in Louisville, and where the City is committed to a strong and supporti
