Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: September 30, 2002 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br />Renewal Application - Romero's Liquors LLC d/b/a Romero's Liquors - Retail <br />Liquor Store License- 1140 Pine St. Unit #1. <br /> <br />Member Sackett stated that Romero's Liquors lease expires in November, 2002. <br />Attorney Harrington advised the Authority to approve the renewal license <br />conditioned upon receiving a lease renewal. The other option would be to table <br />the matter until the next meeting giving Deputy Schmidt time to acquire a new <br />lease. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Koertje wondered if there had been any liquor violations over <br />the past year. Deputy Schmidt and Detective Lanphere did not recall any <br />violations. <br /> <br />Member Kimmett made a motion to renew Romero's Liquors liquor license <br />contingent upon receiving an updated lease. Member Wilson seconded the <br />motion. Roll Call Vote: Koertje-yes, Kimmett-yes, Sackett-yes, Wilson-yes. All <br />members were in favor, motion carried. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> <br />A. Incident Report - King Soopers (09/07/02) <br /> <br />The incident involved theft. The Authority concluded that no liquor violations <br />occurred. <br /> <br />B. Incident Report - Seven-Eleven (S. Bldr Rd.) and Union Jack Liquors (09/07/02) <br /> <br />The incident involved a male party with a head wound. The Authority concluded <br />that no liquor violations occurred. <br /> <br />C. Incident Report - Bart's Restaurant (09/07/02) <br /> <br />The incident involved theft of liquor. Detective Lanphere stated that no suspects <br />had been identified. Vice Chairperson Koertje asked if there might be a problem <br />with control of alcohol on the premises. Detective Lanphere stated that he and <br />Detective Gordanier have not finished inspections of liquor establishments, <br />including Bart's, for 2002 but there have not been problems in the past that <br />involved theft of liquor. The Authority concluded that no liquor violations had <br />occurred. <br /> <br />Member Koertje brought up an issue concerning the management of Abo's Pizza that <br />was addressed at the last meeting. Detective Lanphere stated that the matter has not <br />been fully investigated.
