Call to Order <br />Laura called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: Helen Moshak, Laura Scott Denton, Missy Davis, Jim Gibb, <br />Fiona Garvin, David Blankinship, Peter Gowen <br />Board Members Absent: Mike Schantz <br />City Council Members Present: Jeff Lipton <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Tracy Winfree <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Laura proposed adding a standing item for Council Updates at Councilmember Lipton's <br />request. Peter moved to approve the agenda with the aforementioned change(s). David <br />seconded. The motion passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes <br />David moved to approve the minutes as written. Missy seconded. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />V. Staff Updates— Ember <br />A. Seasonal workers are doing a great job - catching up on maintenance, clearing <br />vegetation out of trail corridor (branches) - 10 trailer loads (20-ft. trailer). Also, <br />painting vault restroom. Maintenance position candidates to be reviewed soon. <br />B. Warembourg: dog off -leash activity stirred up some coyote activity in nearby den. <br />Additional signs are being posted. <br />C. Encroachment campaign: letter to Ward 1 residents was revised to reflect OSAB <br />and Council feedback and has been mailed (61 encroachment letters sent to <br />Ward 1). 31 residents have responded by calling in; most are eager to fix the <br />problem. On Sept 1, rangers will revisit all 61 properties to assess compliance <br />and remediation. Citations will be issued if owner has not complied. Laura asked <br />if staff is keeping a log of hours spent on this project; Ember responded yes. <br />Helen asked if a 1-ft. weed barrier buffer zone will be allowed. Ember responded <br />no - City confirmed it's an encroachment and will be enforced as such.
