WHEREAS, the bond proceeds would support repairs on a specified list of over <br />60 projects in 15 specific transportation planning regions across the state, none of <br />which are within or adjacent to the City of Louisville, and only one within in Boulder <br />County (SH 66 Longmont/Lyons); and <br />WHEREAS, Proposition 109 is in direct conflict with two positions on the City of <br />Louisville Legislative Agenda, which state that "The City supports one or more new, <br />designated state funding sources for transportation that are not reliant on the State <br />General Fund" and "The City supports investments in the maintenance and expansion <br />of the state and regional transportation network, including roads, bridges and transit <br />projects, as well as improved multi -modal strategies that increase transportation <br />options, improve mobility and reduce congestion and greenhouse gas emissions." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Louisville opposes <br />Proposition 109, as it does not offer a statewide, comprehensive solution to Colorado's <br />transportation challenges, and will impose new challenges on Colorado's state budget, <br />and strongly urges a vote of NO this November. <br />RESOLVED this 17th day of September, 2018. <br />v6164/ <br />Robert P.
