Lcityof <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1882 <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 20, 2018 <br />City Hall, Council Chambers <br />749 Main Street <br />6:30 PM <br />Call to Order — Chairperson Haley called the meeting to order at 6:32 PM. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Commission Members Present: Chair Lynda Haley <br />Hannah Parris <br />Debbie Fahey <br />Cyndi Thomas <br />Caleb Dickinson <br />Chuck Thomas <br />Michael Ulm <br />Commission Members Absent: None. <br />Staff Members Present: Lisa Ritchie, Associate Planner <br />Amelia Brackett, Planning Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Chuck Thomas made a motion to approve the August 20, 2018 agenda, seconded by Fahey. <br />Agenda approved by voice vote. <br />APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES <br />Ulm made a motion to approve the June 18th, 2018 minutes. Seconded by Parris. The minutes <br />were approved as written by voice vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />None. <br />PROBABLE CAUSE DETERMINATION <br />809 Main Street: A request to find probable cause for a landmark designation to allow for <br />funding of a historic structure assessment for 809 Main Street. <br />Ritchie presented the history of 809 Main. There have been few changes since its construction <br />in approximately 1900. For the past 100 years, it has been a restaurant or a bar. Changes <br />include the addition of brick veneer and columns circa 1963, replacement of windows between <br />1965 and 1978, a rear addition to the main structure in the 1960s or 1970s, and the addition of <br />the walk-in cooler on the alley in 2015. <br />Staff finds that it has architectural significance for its false -front commercial architecture.
