Discussion on Use of Herbicides in Parks: Dean <br />presented the City's current use of herbicides as well as <br />the integrated weed management program. The Board <br />supported current use with an annual review in the fall <br />with PPLAB to determine any recommended changes to <br />be made for the following spring. It was suggested that <br />the info Dean presented be made available for any citizen <br />inquiries or complaints. <br />IX. Discussion on Park Evaluations: Members discussed <br />their thoughts on the updated evaluation forms. It was <br />decided the categories need definitions to help with <br />standardization of ratings. The "Landscape" category will <br />be divided into Turf, Trees, & Horticulture. It was <br />recommended that trees be added on a yearly basis and <br />all parks need dog poop posts. It was recommended all <br />parks, including pocket parks, have signage to identify <br />them. The Board voted unanimously to ask Council to <br />move up the CIP for the Recreation Master Plan with <br />priority of an multi -use athletic field as the biggest <br />concern.
