Della Romano died in 1980. In 1981, Carmen Romano married her sister, Beatrice. When he
died in 1983, his personal representative sold or otherwise transferred ownership of 225
County Rd. to his widow, Beatrice. She died in 2003. Ownership was then transferred to her
daughter, Carylin Gigliotti.
Current Owner
Laurence Verbeck purchased 225 County from Carmen Romano's stepdaughter, Carylin
Gigliotti, in 2013. In 2014, he transferred the property to its own LLC, so the current owner is
technically "225 County LLC."
The preceding research is based on a review of relevant and available online County property records, census
records, oral history interviews, Louisville directories, and Louisville Historical Museum maps, files, and obituary
records.
3
