Ownership by Davis, Harris, and Mitchell Families, 1939-1944 <br />In 1939, Claude W. and Nellie May Davis purchased 905 Lincoln. They sold it in 1940 to Emma <br />Harris. <br />Emma Brooks Harris was the owner until 1942. She and members of her family lived in nearby <br />houses on Lincoln Ave. <br />In 1942, Woodrow and Iris Mitchell purchased 905 Lincoln. They owned it for two years. The <br />1943 directory for Louisville lists them as living in the house. <br />Banyai Family Ownership, 1944-2017 (73 years) <br />In 1944, Arnold Banyai (1915-1998) and Flora Madonna Banyai (1913-2013) purchased 905 <br />Lincoln. It was then owned continuously by members of the Banyai family until this year. <br />Arnold Banyai was born in West Virginia and was of Hungarian heritage. He came to Boulder <br />County with his parents in the early 1930s. He married Flora Madonna of Louisville. She had <br />grown up in Louisville. According to the 1959 directory for Louisville, Arnold worked as a <br />carpenter. Flora worked as a clerk.
