The following photo from circa 1950 similarly shows the building in its location between <br />the Jacoe Store and the Tomeo House. It was on the very northern edge of Louisville's <br />downtown commercial district. <br />Joe Tomeo, who had been born in 1910, died in 1950 at the age of 40. His brother, Dom, <br />took over Joe's metal business. The 1952-53 directory included an advertisement for <br />Joe's Metal Shop, with an emphasis on "Furnaces — Stokers — Sheet Metal Work" and <br />
