Davidson stated that the applicant needed to get Knollwood to commit to what they need to do. He <br />suggested starting the process of doing the building permit so they did not lose any time, continue <br />this for two weeks and within that time they should be able to resolve the secondary access issue. <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council continue Resolution No. 50 until December 16, 1997, seconded by <br />Sisk. All in favor. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION - AIRLINE JEFFCO AIRPORT <br /> <br />Davidson stated that the Jeffco Airport Authority, in violation of the open meeting law, decided to <br />allow scheduled airline service and they are trying to claim it is charter airlines. He wanted the City <br />of Louisville to take an official position against this by filing a complaint with the Secretary of State <br />for a violation of the Open Meetings law. Also, working with other cities that are opposed to this <br />by filing a complaint with the Federal Aviation Administration that Jeffco Airport currently does not <br />have the equipment for scheduled service. <br /> <br />Howard wanted this made a regional issue. <br /> <br />Mayer wanted staff and Council to make sure the facts were correct. He stated that staff gave him <br />Broomfield's plans for the 96th Street gateway area and wanted Council to have that information. <br /> <br />Lathrop wanted information from staff or other sources that this information is correct. <br /> <br />Davidson directed staff to gather information on this for the next meeting. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, introduced Chuck King the City's new Human Resources Director. <br />Simmons reported that the Post Office had begun soliciting offers to sell land or an existing building <br />to serve as the main post office in Louisville. They are looking for a site of approximately 140,000 <br />s.f. of net usable space or an existing building of about 25,000 s.f. They preferred to construct a new <br />post office in the Centennial Valley area. He stated that at the next Work Session they will have a <br />meeting with the Chairperson of DRCOG, Margaret Carpenter, the Landscape Master Plan <br />Committee to review their efforts to date, and the proposal on the Boulder County Housing Authority <br />purchase of some multi-family housing. <br /> <br /> <br />
