SUBJECT: INVISION GIS, LLC ON CALL SERVICES CONTRACT ADDENDUM <br />DATE: DECEMBER 4, 2018 <br />PAGE 2 OF 3 <br />Activities provided in 2018 by Invision include: <br />• Public Works Facilities and Operations day to day support for digital work <br />order/asset management on 10 mobile tablets. <br />• Implementation of WWTP asset management and in progress implementation of <br />WTP asset management. <br />• Ongoing training of new employees, support training for existing employees. <br />• Ongoing continuous improvement for field work order work flows. <br />• Ongoing access and permissions administration. <br />• Coordination of GIS Pavement Assets with IMS for the 2018 Pavement Survey <br />Analysis. <br />• Lucity Software Server Maintenance and Support. <br />• Ongoing creation of new maps or charts for operational effectiveness and <br />dashboards. <br />• Ongoing project management and coordination of Public Works activities with <br />Citywide GIS efforts. <br />• Setup, training, and support of GPS equipment for ongoing collection of assets <br />not mapped in the GIS system. <br />Benefits the City receives from its investment in Lucity Asset Management and GIS <br />have included: <br />• Ongoing preventative maintenance schedules that are continuously being <br />improved or added to ensure no asset is left behind. <br />• Ability to understand the cost of doing business for assets with labor and <br />materials. (Utilized to review the cost of in-house versus outsourced street <br />sweeping when considering the purchase of a new street sweeper) <br />• Ability to understand where time is spent, evaluate if it is effective, and determine <br />if it is providing adequate levels of service. <br />• Shared digital mapping between departments and divisions to ensure everyone <br />is working from the most current and accurate information. <br />• Time Tracking and Mapping of asset histories to identify trends and quickly work <br />towards solutions to identified problems. (Utilized during summer 2018 to <br />visualize and evaluate why water breaks were happening and how to target <br />operational changes to minimize the issue) <br />• Asset Condition forecasting to allow for planning of long term capital plans. <br />(Utilized for the pavement management system and 6 year capital plan) <br />• Complete digital mapping and asset record work flow that eliminates manual data <br />entry and retrieval, eliminates duplication, provides for knowledge retention, <br />allows for trend analysis and data driven decision making. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />38 <br />
