City <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Youth Advisory Board <br />Agenda <br />November 1, 2018 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />951 Spruce Street <br />6:30-8 PM <br />I. Call to Order - Secretary Brooke Newell called the meeting to order at 6:32 <br />pm <br />II. Roll call <br />Board Members Present: Bruce Armstrong, Teddy Hart, Riley Miller, <br />Brooke Newell, Kaelan Norgard, Logan Pius, Sophie Russ <br />Board Members Absent: Kaylix McClure, Addison Nakari, Lincoln <br />Roch, Kendall Weideman <br />Staff Members Present: Mandy Perera, Jessica Schwartz <br />III. Approval of Agenda - Agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV. Approval of Minutes - Minutes were approved after noting the need to <br />change the October meeting location from the Rec Center to the Library. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda — None <br />VI. Visit from Aaron DeJong with the Economic Development Department. <br />Aaron told YAB members about his various duties and job focuses (such as <br />business retention and attracting new businesses) as he works to be a liaison <br />between local businesses and City Hall. He also told us about some of his <br />favorite projects like the new DeLo development and the South Street <br />Underpass. Aaron asked the YAB about the types of places they would like to <br />see in Louisville. Ideas included mini golf, a bowling alley, Snarf's, food trucks, <br />and athletic fields. <br />• If anyone would like to contact Aaron with ideas or questions, he <br />can be reached at aarond@louisvilleco.gov or 303-335-4531. <br />VII. Volunteer Projects <br />• November — Community Food Share at the Louisville King Soopers <br />on Saturday, 11/10 from 11:45am-2:00pm. Please check the Sign <br />Up Genius email from Mandy to sign up.
