Need to identify what county goals <br />align with existing SAP, gaps, where to overhaul and update. Allison likely not to handle <br />topic but process and review and compiling info. LSAB to focus on framing and priorities. <br />LSAB concern with content development being beyond "advisory". LSAB to focus on <br />framework but not details. Allison to discuss process and staffing capacity with City <br />Manager. City is part of CO Climate Action Coalition- plan should reference CCAC <br />priorities. Also need to ask about Open Government policies on document sharing. <br />Continue to distinguish internal and external goals. Assigned LSAB member to topics (per <br />County plan) as follows: <br />• Air quality- Dan <br />• Climate- Laura <br />• Ecological health- Seth <br />• Energy and Buildings- Mark <br />• Health and Wellness- review but refer to county resources and strategies. <br />• Local Food and Agriculture- Marianne <br />• Transportation- Allison/ Marianne until new LSAB member assigned. Maybe they <br />will focus here or we rework assignments. <br />• Water- Dan <br />• Zero Waste: Mark, (Seth) <br />Goals and timing: next month: identify how city and county align on strategies. Marianne <br />to distribute comparison template. <br />IV. Sustainability related communications and advertising processes <br />Discussion: Is there a designee in city on communications that can help promote events/ <br />programs? What to do with other information sharing requests? What events/ programs <br />do have successful comm plans/ process? Also ask MaryAnn what worked with garden <br />events? Maybe secretary for the month helps with social media distribution? Get update <br />for January agenda. <br />V. Discussion on sustainability of cannabis grows in Louisville <br />Two proposals under review. Mark: recommend against grows due to resource <br />consumption and waste. Allison: would need very strong best practices to mitigage <br />impact. Dan: use example of food manufacturing, there is not overstep in compliance for <br />that specific industry by city beyond business codes. Is there a state or county regulation <br />that baseline energy needs to be renewable? The county strategy is to impose a fee on <br />energy intensive industries. Allison tasked to draft letter. LSAB has split opinions and <br />requests that council consider the impacts and reference best practices in its decision <br />making. <br />
