Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />1/28/2019 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Board for 2019. Seconded by Michele Van Pelt. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />City Council Update <br />• Dennis Maloney attended in lieu of the new council liaison to the RAB, Jeff <br />Lipton. <br />• Water rate reduction for reuse water for the golf course is going to council <br />for a vote. It would reduce the rate to a marginal rate of $0.30 to $0.40 <br />from the previous $4.10 per 1,000 gallons. <br />• Council will discuss the sales tax over -realization refund at the 3/5/2019 <br />meeting. <br />• Council Finance Committee will be discussing Rec Center policies. The <br />RAB Finance Subcommittee members should attend the third Monday <br />meeting. <br />• Council will review the rec and golf budgets in June. <br />• Council will visit the budget amendment process in May. <br />Recreation Staff Update, Dashboard and Construction Update <br />• Finance Sub -Committee member <br />o Brett Nickerson volunteered to fill the open Finance Subcommittee <br />Position. <br />■ Motion to approve made by Audrey DeBarros. <br />■ Second Lisa Norgard <br />• The Rec Center grand opening was a success. <br />o The giveaway knit hats were very popular. <br />• Additional outdoor work and roof repairs will commence in March. <br />• Center TV programming and music await Comcast to complete a request <br />that has been open since June. <br />• Punchlist items will be added to the Rec Center dashboards. <br />• Finance subcommittee will revise the dashboards. <br />4 <br />
