City of Louisville <br />Treatment Plant Hail Damage RFP Specifications <br />October 9, 2018 <br />GENERAL <br />1. Contractors will use the provided Travelers insurance company's Scope of Work estimates as the basis <br />of work in conjunction with the City Specifications. Contractors will be responsible for field verification <br />of all measurements before submitting an RFP. <br />2. Contracts awarded above $50,000 total will require performance and payment bonds as required by <br />Colorado State statute. See bid forms for specifics. The contractor is responsible for the payment of <br />required bonds and must include them in base pricing. <br />3. RFP will include the following submittals in addition to the bid forms: <br />• Material and/or product sheets for all components of the RFP. Weights, gauges and <br />manufactures will be included. <br />• Warranty: copy of warranty preferred <br />4. Roof replacement will require a building permit. Fees will be waived for the permit but all other fees <br />are the responsibility of the contractor. Expect to have at a minimum a mid and final roof inspection. <br />Please call out any upgrades necessary in you proposal due to code changes since the installation of the <br />original roofing system. <br />5. All installations will meet the current applicable building code and the City of Louisville Design Criteria <br />for roofing. The City of Louisville, starting October 2018, will follow the 2018 IBC. <br />6. All color selections by owner unless match existing is called out <br />7. All roofing materials will be handled and installed as per the manufacturer's recommendations <br />8. All asphalt shingles will be "architectural laminate".
