MORRIS:

The Authority previously set the boundaries of the neighborhood for the license as the
current boundaries of the City of Louisville.

Does anyone present object to the boundaries of the neighborhood being the current
boundaries of the City of Louisville? If not, we will proceed with the hearing.

NONE.

MORRIS:

I move that the complete application be made a part of the record of this hearing. Is there
a second?

LIPTON:

Second.

MORRIS:

Does anyone present object to the motion?

NONE.

If not, the motion is adopted.

The Authority Attorney has a few comments.

LIGHT:

In considering the application filed by White Lodging Services Corporation d/b/a
Courtyard by Marriott - Louisville, the Authority is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity.
The Authority's decision must be based on the evidence presented to it at the hearing
tonight and the legal requirements set out in state laws. Under state law, you must
consider the character of the applicant, the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood
for this type of license, the desires of the adult inhabitants of the neighborhood, and the
number, type, and availability of other similar outlets in the neighborhood.

MORRIS:

Will the applicant please come forward, state your name and address for the record, and
take the oath.

Steve Gerr, Attorney for the applicant introduced Mr. Bruce White, 3153 Thornhill Drive, Valparaiso,
IN; Max Scott, 2902 5th, Louisville, CO; and Jane Roland, 10683 Oxford Rd., Longmont, CO.

SALAS:

Please raise your right hand, state your name and address for the record. Do you
solemnly swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that the testimony you are about to
give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

We do (Bruce White, Max Scott and Jane Roland).

MORRIS:

Would you make your presentation please?

Steve Gerr, Attorney for the applicant gave a brief summary of the application of White Lodging
Services Corp. d/b/a Courtyard by Marriott - Louisville, located at 948 W. Dillon, Louisville, CO
80027. Mr. Gerr explained that the Marriott has its own training program regarding sales and service of
alcoholic beverages and that staff and management will also attend the local training class provided by
the City and State of Colorado.

3
