Martinis stated that they had presented this to the School Board. They are trying to prioritize the <br />money from the Bond. He felt it would be more promising if the City of Louisville got involved also. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br /> NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayer had received a flyer from EcoCycle stating that the deep toned papers are not easily recyclable. <br />He suggested a lighter shade of paper. <br /> <br />Howard asked that people doing early voting not wait until the last couple of days to do so to avoid <br />long lines. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1268, SERIES 1997 - APPROVING THE DISCONNECTION OF <br />CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO - 1 ST <br />READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 11/5/97 <br /> <br />Light read by title only Ordinance No. 1268, Series 1997, "An ordinance approving the disconnection <br />of certain real property from the City of Louisville, Colorado." <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that in July the City of Louisville and the Town of Superior <br />entered into an IGA which is subject to voter approval on November 4. The owners of the 80.1 acres <br />had submitted an application to disconnect, or deannex, that property from the boundaries of <br />Louisville. This ordinance would begin the process to disconnect from the City of Louisville the 80.1 <br />acre parcel of land lying on the south side of U.S. 36 and to the east of McCaslin Boulevard. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council set out for publication and set the public hearing for November 5, 1997, <br />seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1269, SERIES 1997 - AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 501, SERIES 1976, <br />REMOVING A GEOLOGIC HAZARD AREA - LOT 1, OUTLOT A, BLOCK 8 CTC - NE <br />CORNER OF CHERRY STREET & PIERCE STREET - 1ST READING - SET PUBLIC <br />HEARING 11/5/97 <br /> <br />Light read by title only Ordinance No. 1269, Series 1997, "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. <br />501, Series 1976, to eliminate the geologic hazard area designation for Outlot A of Lot 1, Block 8, <br />Colorado Technological Center Filing No. 1." <br /> <br />Sisk asked to be excused as Mr. Alu would be presenting and he is a client of Sisk's law firm and one <br />of Sisk's lawyers is a partner with Mr. Alu. <br /> <br />Davidson excused Sisk from this item. <br /> <br /> <br />
