7. Median Landscape Renovations Phase I Concepts, presented by Design <br />Concepts: <br />8. Designscapes Colorado, Design Concepts present to show concepts, design, <br />etc. <br />9. Designscapes gave a presentation on the overall scope of work and to <br />identify Phase I and Phase II corridors. <br />10. Phase I: McCaslin Boulevard, Cherry Street, Via Appia Way. <br />11. Landscape and Irrigation Improvements: replace plants and reduce <br />maintenance where needed; replace irrigation as budget allows; potential <br />native grass conversions and a shrub/perennial palette. <br />12. City/Corridor Identity and Pedestrian Crossings: opportunities at median <br />noses; heighten awareness and safety. <br />13. Discussion surrounding design concepts and tying in all three corridors via <br />plant palette, concrete/rock median noses, etc. <br />14. Discussion surrounding the need for color just beyond the median nose <br />"sight triangle". Place pops of color at the corridor entries and at <br />intersections. <br />15. Discussion surrounding low water native turf grass vs. existing turf grass in <br />medians. Greater discussion surrounding plant selection, curb appeal and <br />lasting impact. <br />16.
