The TMP is organized in the following manner: <br />Chapter 1: Introduction <br />• The first chapter establishes the background and purpose of the <br />TMP, describes the key goals of the plan, and explains the <br />organization of the document. <br />Chapter 2: Community Input <br />• This chapter details the community feedback received through the <br />outreach conducted during this project. It summarizes the major <br />conclusions from the community input that inform the plan elements <br />and priorites. <br />Chapter 3: Existing Conditions <br />• This chapter cover existing data and trends that help to form an <br />understanding of the current state of Louisville's transportation <br />system, as well as demographic trends related to transportation <br />needs. <br />Chapter 4: Policies, Projects, and Programs <br />• This chapter presents the TMP's recommendations based on <br />community input and the analysis of existing conditions. The <br />recommendations are organized into Policies, Projects, and <br />Programs and are intended to work together to realize a system that <br />meets the goals of the plan. <br />o Polices support the TMP goals and further define the vision <br />for the community wants to advance those goals. The <br />Policies also provide guidance on the Projects and Programs <br />and inform City priorities on transportation investment. <br />Policies include: <br />■ Great Streets <br />■ Guidelines for Walkable and Bikeable Places <br />■ Transit Oriented Development Guidelines <br />■ Coordinate Applications for Technology <br />o Projects are recommendations for new or improved facilities <br />or infrastructure throughout the City that includes: <br />■ Corridor projects <br />■ Underpasses <br />■ At -grade crossings <br />■ Multi -use paths <br />■ Bicycle network connections <br />■ Sidewalks <br />■ Transit <br />■ Downtown Connector <br />o Programs are recommendations that generally encourage, <br />educate, and support mobility options. Programs include: <br />■ Neighborhood Traffic Management Program <br />■ Travel Demand Management <br />■ Safe Routes Programs <br />7 <br />
