Anew cemetery fund will be created to <br />receive half the proceeds from the sale of cemetery lots to fund on-going <br />maintenance. The general fund will continue to subsidize the cemetery and the <br />interest on perpetual care fund endowment will also be used for on-going <br />maintenance. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1542, Series 2008, on <br />first reading, with the deletion of section one and four, ordered it published and <br />set a public hearing for November 3, 2008, seconded by Councilor Sackett. <br />City Attorney Light requested a friendly amendment authorizing the City Attorney <br />to change the recitals to remove the references to the cemetery rules and <br />regulations. Mayor Sisk and Councilor Sackett accepted the amendment. <br />VOTE: All in favor. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1543, SERIES 2008 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE <br />VACATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS WITHIN BLOCK 10 OF THE NORTH <br />END SUBDIVISION - 15t Reading -Set Public Hearing - 11/03/08 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1543, Series 2008. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 15 43, Series 2008, on <br />first reading, ordered it published and set a public hearing for November 3, 2008, <br />seconded by Councilor Dalton. All in favor. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION -SUPERIOR LIBRARY AGREEMENT <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the response from the Superior Board of <br />Trustees relative to funding the Louisville Library. In earlier discussion, <br />representatives from the Town of Superior suggested the Town would be willing <br />to contribute up to $115,000 in 2009 with increase payments in increments of <br />$10,000 per year until 2011. A recent letter from the Town of Superior suggested <br />an additional alternative with higher overall funding requiring the City to assess <br />and collect a household user fee from Superior residents. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Sisk stated the reports the City of Louisville and the Town of Superior are <br />close to an agreement are unfounded. He stated there has not been any <br />agreement on a Library District or on payment schedule. He suggested the City <br />
