City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 18, 2008 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing on Resolutions Numbers 54, 55, and 56, <br />Series 2008 and requested a Staff presentation. <br />Finance Director Watson reported that on November 3, 2008, the City Council <br />conducted a public hearing on the 2009 proposed budget. He noted the budget <br />presented for adoption today was the same budget presented on November 3~d <br />He reviewed Resolutions Nos. 54, 55 and 56, which adopts the 2009 budget: <br />Resolution No. 54, Series 2008 summarizes expenditures and revenues for each <br />fund and adopts a budget for the City of Louisville, Colorado for the calendar <br />year beginning the first day of January 2009 and ending the last day of <br />December 2009. <br />Resolution No. 55, Series 2008 is the annual appropriation resolution for the City <br />of Louisville, Colorado for the calendar year beginning January 1, 2009 and <br />ending December 31, 2009. <br />Resolution No. 56, Series 2008 is the levy for general property taxes for 2008, <br />which helps defray costs of government for the City of Louisville, Colorado for the <br />2009 budget year. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Sisk asked when and how the mill levy is set. Finance Director Watson <br />explained Boulder County has already set the mill levy. He clarified there is a <br />general operating expenditures mill levy and the bonded indebtedness mill levy. <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public <br />hearing. <br />RESOLUTION No. 54, SERIES 2008 - A RESOLUTION SUMMARIZING <br />EXPENDITURES AND REVENUES FOR EACH FUND AND ADOPTING A <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE„ COLORADO, FOR THE <br />CALENDAR YEAR BEGINNING ON THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY 2009 AND <br />ENDING ON THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER 2009 <br />Motion: Mayor Pro Tem Marsella moved to approve Resolution No. 54, Series <br />2008, seconded by Councilor Yarnell. Roll call vote was taken. The motion <br />carried by a vote of 6-0.
