Award Bid to Universal Tractor Company for Cemetery/Parks <br />Compact <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Joe Tucker and Kenny Prestesater, 558 E. Gill Way, Superior, CO, students at <br />Monarch High School, addressed the traffic at 88tr' Street and Campus Drive. <br />They suggested the City consider adding another turn lane on the south side of <br />the intersection. City Manager Fleming reported meeting with Mr. Tucker and <br />Prestesater last month to discuss this issue. Public Works Director Phare <br />explained at this time no immediate action can be taken, but the ConocoPhillips <br />development may provide another access to Monarch High School, which would <br />improve traffic at 88th and Campus Drive intersection. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Sisk reminded everyone the Parade of Ligl'its is on Friday night, <br />December 5, in downtown Louisville. <br />Councilor Clabots reminded everyone the Holiday Home Tour is on Saturday, <br />December 6, 2008. Tickets purchased in advance are $10.00 and tickets <br />purchased on the day of the event are $12.00. Tickets are available at the First <br />Community Bank, the Louisville Public Library, thE: Huckleberry Restaurant and <br />the Historical Museum. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Fleming responded to the complaint against Comcast Cable <br />Television filed by Mr. Alan Sobel. He noted a significant amount of time was <br />spent by City Staff and Consultants to comply with Mr. Sobel's request for <br />information. On October 7, City Manager Fleming sent a detailed letter to Mr. <br />Sobel outlining the City's authority. He stated the Federal Communications <br />Commission has concluded there is effective competition in Louisville with <br />respect to cable services and therefore the City has lost all rate regulatory <br />authority to impose certain rates on Comcast. HE; explained the City has no <br />authority to rate the tiers of services other than to require the PEG channels be <br />on the basic <br />
