112 City,
f
Om Louisville
COLORADO - SINCE 1878
Applicant Name: Shelly Alm
2020 Parks & Public Landscaping - Supplemental Questions
The Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board advises the City Council on matters of
interest related to parks and public landscaping within the City. The Board meets the first
Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Terms are three years. You must be a resident of
Louisville to apply.
PLEASE PRINT OR TYPE YOUR ANSWERS TO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS in
the space provided and return this questionnaire with your application to the City
Clerk's Office (749 Main Street) or email it to MeredythM@LouisvilleCO.gov.
1. Why are you interested in serving on the Parks & Public Landscaping Advisory
Board? (please limit to 300 words)
This board has been able to make some real strides forward as we've grown from HFAB to PPLAB.
There was a learning curve as we were learning our new role and what council's vision was for the
board. The Parks Scorecard we developed our first year as a board has been a good example of
setting a baseline for our city's parks and is helping as we move forward to determine what parks
should be prioritized for updates. I would like to continue with the board as I see our role with the city
growing.
2. What is your favorite Louisville Park and why? (please limit to 300 words)
My answer to this changes as my lifestyle changes. With no small children at home any longer, I'm not
looking for parks with the best playground equipment. I still love Memory Square because of it's
history and it feels like "home" as well as the proximity to downtown.
13
