2020 Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board Questionnaire
Page 2 of 3
Lof City
Louisville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
3. What changes, if any, would you like to see related to parks and public
landscaping in Louisville? (please limit to 300 words)
Consistency. As a board, we've discussed this for a few years. We see new landscape designs
brought to us with no consistency in materials being used around the city, that includes
hardscape as well as plant materials. Not everything needs to look exactly the same, but it can
give the city a "feel" as you drive through and recognize consistent design elements that let you
know you're in Louisville. I think the patios with the flower baskets on Main St. and the large
planters are a prime example of this. People associate that with downtown Louisville. I feel the
materials used in both the subdivision entries and median renovations can have an impact in
achieving this as well.
4. If appointed, what would you like to accomplish on the Parks Board? (please
limit to 300 words)
14
