Describe your understanding of the Highway 42 Revitalization Area Plan. <br />Its purpose is to reduce, eliminate and prevent the spread of blight within the Urban Renewal Area <br />and to stimulate growth and reinvestment within the Area boundaries, on surrounding blocks and <br />throughout downtown. It provides direction and guidance to the Commission, Council and staff for <br />where certain financial tools may be used. <br />4. What professional qualifications, skill sets, and relevant experiences do you <br />have for this position? <br />I am a professional land use and transportation planner with a strong understanding of local, <br />regional and state government. I understand the context for growth, development and competition <br />for sales tax in cities in the Denver metro area. <br />I have worked for the City of Westminster as the Senior Transportation and Mobility Planner since <br />2016. I plan, advocate and seek funding for multimodal transportation options to improve regional <br />connectivity. I participate in review of development applications to provide input regarding <br />transportation and mobility needs, and am expected to bring a wholistic perspecitive density, <br />scale, use and design in my recommendations. <br />My career spans 30 years. Prior to joining the City of Westminster I served as the City and County <br />of Broomfield's Transportation Manager for 11 years, headed Community Solutions, the <br />transportation management organization for the northwest Denver metro region, worked as a <br />Transportation Planner for the City of Boulder, and held regional planning positions with RTD, the <br />Denver Metro Chamber, Regional Air Quality Council and the City and County of Denver. <br />I have served on the boards of several non -profits and understand the need for collaboration, <br />faciliation and action. <br />21 <br />
