ORDINANCE NO. 99. <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING OFFICERS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE AP- <br /> POINTMENT OF A TOWN MARSHAL, TO'PRESCRIBE HIS BOND AND TO REGULATE <br /> THE DUTIES AND SALARIES OF SAME; AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT <br /> OF A TOWN CLERK AND EX-OFFIC.IO STREET AND WATERCOIvflvrISSIONER AND <br /> DEPUTY MARSHAL, TO PRESCRIBE'HIS BOND AND TO REGULATE THE DUTIES <br /> AND SALARIES OF SUCH OFFICER; AND' TO REPEAL ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS <br /> OF ORDINANCES IN. CONFLICT HEREWITH. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF LOUIS- <br /> VILLE, COLORADO; <br /> Section 1. That at the first meeting of the newly eleeied Board <br /> of Trustees of the Town ,of Louisville, after the first day' of April <br /> 1915, in which the Board of Trustees shall proceed to the appoint-; <br /> ment of appointive town officers , and every year thereafter, there <br /> shall be appointed by the said Board of Trustees , one town Marhsal <br /> for said town, who shall be a qualified elector of said town and <br /> whose term of office shall be for one year succeeding such appoint- <br /> ment , unless otherwise removed from office for cause; provided, that <br /> such officer shall not hold office under such appointment or as fil- <br /> ling a vacancy, beyond one week after the succeeding Board of Trustees <br /> have qualified and entered upon the duties of their office. Provided, <br /> that this section shall not be construed as prohibiting such officer <br /> from succeeding himself upon due and regular reappointment. <br /> Section 2. Marshal Salary. Amended by Ordinance No. 122. <br /> Section 3. The duties of such town marshall shall be as provided <br /> by the laws of the State of Colorado and as now or hereafter imposed <br /> upon him by the ordinances of the Town of Louisville, and he shall <br /> perform such other duties and serve during such hours as may be re- <br /> quired of him by resoluting of the Board of Trustees and he shall, <br /> at all times, to the extent that the same does not conflict with ' <br /> any order or resolution of the Board or of the ordinances of the <br /> Town, be under the direction of the Mayor. <br /> Section 4. The said town marshal shall, before entering upon the <br /> duties of his office , take and subscribe his official oath ,and ex- <br /> ecute a bond to the People of the State of Colorado in the penal <br /> sum of one thousand dollars , as required by law, with two good <br /> and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Board of Trustees, <br /> and conditioned for the faithful' discharge of his duties as defined <br /> by law and the ordinances of the Town of Louisville, and that he will, <br /> whenever required by law, or the ordinances of the said town, promptly <br /> pay over all moneys and deliver all papers and property in his custody <br /> or possedsion belonging to the town, to his successor, in office ;fi <br /> or to the person authorized to receive the same <br /> Section 5. The Board ,oi' Trustees shall also at the meeting mentioned' ' <br /> in Section 1 of this. Ordinance, and annually thereafter, appoint a town <br /> clerk who shall be ex-officio water and street commissioner of the <br /> said town and shall also be the deputy marhsal of the town, he shall <br /> be an elector of the Town of Louisville and his term of office shall <br />
