All in favor. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this Friday comments, both pro and con on the ballot <br />issue, must be in the office of the Clerk. Today the City received the League of Women's Voters <br />summary of the ballot issue, which he distributed to Council. He stated that at the last Council <br />meeting, Council adopted a resolution and did not approve the accompanying ordinance. The City <br />Attorney recommended that Council hold the public hearing October 21 and consider the resolution <br />eligibility and, if Council passes the resolution, they can determine whether to approve or deny the <br />annexation. If Council desires to reject the annexation, they can do so by approving a new annexation <br />ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Sam Light, Griffiths & Tanoue, stated that the action that the Council took on September 2 was only <br />to determine if the petition that was filed, together with the annexation map, and simply contained <br />the allegations that are required under state law. It was not the final determination on annexation of <br />the property. <br /> <br />Simmons related that the traffic signal at 88th Street at Dillon was now operating. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Keany informed Council that the Boulder County Special Olympics Comedy Pageant will be this <br />Sunday, September 21 at 7 p.m. He read the Municipal Court report and found Louinsville was at <br />42% on speeding tickets over 1996 year-to-date. He wondered whether speeding had gone down <br />that much or enforcement was being spent on other things. He felt 60% was quite a drop. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
