She worked at a few pubs and restaurants in England. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers asked the applicant if, when working in any of the bars or restaurants mentioned, she <br />had ever taken liquor training classes. <br /> <br />Charnley stated that she had received training in England, thirteen years ago. She stated that she is <br />scheduled to take a liquor training class in Boulder on September 20, 1998. <br /> <br />Jeffers asked how many employees the applicant expected to have who would be serving alcohol, and <br />would they all be attending training classes. <br /> <br />Chamley estimated that she would have about five employees, and that all would receive training. <br />Kimmett asked if there was an a projected opening date of the establishment. <br /> <br />Chamley had planned for October 3, 1998, however with problems and delays in construction, it may be <br />the middle of October. <br /> <br />The applicant presented a petition of signatures, which denote the needs of the neighborhood. The <br />petition was marked as Applicant's Exhibit gA, and was added to the record. <br /> <br />Attorney Light had some questions for the applicant relative to the petition. He asked how the petition <br />was circulated, and during what period of time. He also asked who had prepared the petition. <br /> <br />Charnley stated that the petition was circulated to people she knew and had met and shared her ideas with <br />and to neighboring businesses. She stated that she had prepared the petition herself. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers asked if there was any interested party in the audience who wished to speak in favor <br />of the application. - No comments were made. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeff.ers asked if there were any interested party in the audience who wished to speak in <br />opposition to the application. - No comments were made. <br /> <br />Attorney Light had some questions relative to the financial information listed on the application. He <br />noted that on the Individual History report, a $23,000.00 loan from Heritage Bank. <br /> <br />Charnley stated that she was approved for a line of credit from the Heritage Bank but she has not drawn <br />against it. She stated that she has received a $30,000.00 loan from the LLDR and that the $27, 942.32 <br />listed at Bank One is actually her own assets. <br /> <br />Attorney Light asked that as a condition of approval, the financial information in paragraph 12 of the <br />application and line 31 of the Individual History Records be corrected and reflect the loan of $30,000.00 <br />from the LLDR and the line of $23,000.00 line of credit from the Heritage Bank. <br /> <br />Being no further applicant comments, Chairperson Jeff.ers closed the public hearing and called for <br />member discussion and comments. <br /> <br /> <br />
