ATTORNEY'S REPORT

As Attorney Light noted previously, CRS 12-47-302 provides that a late renewal application can be
assessed a $500.00 late fee for the City and a duplicate $500.00 fee for the State. However, that fee is
only collectable after the license has expired. Light also reviewed that on late filings of liquor license
renewals, the statute provides that the Authority may for good cause waive the forty-five day
requirement.

Light also noted that the CML has a recemly published a new booklet entitled "Liquor and Beer
Licensing and Practice". He felt that it was a good handbook on licensing procedures and actions.
Authority Secretary will order copies for the members and staff.

The

AUTHORITY COMMENTS

None.

ADJOURNMENT

Margueri~ILipton, ACti~ Chairperson

Nancy Varr~, Secretary to the Authority

5
