Special Events Permit Application -Eye Health Institute - Steinbaugh <br />Pavilion - 9/27/08 <br />Rommelfanger called for any changes to the consent agenda. Carlson moved <br />the consent agenda be approved. Mulvahill seconded. Roll Call Vote: Mulvahill <br />-yes, Lipton -yes, Carlson -yes, Rommelfanger -yes and Gunning -yes. <br />Consent Agenda approved. <br />Authority Business <br />A. Public Hearing -New Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License -Village <br />Square B "O" B, LLC d/b/a Beef "O" Brady's - 585 South Boulder Road <br />Rommelfanger opened the public hearing on the new license application. <br />Secretary Hanson stated the application was complete and included in the <br />Authority packet. Background checks revealed no criminal history and the <br />hearing had been posted and published in accordance with state law. <br />No objections were entered to the boundaries of the neighborhood being the city <br />limits of the City of Louisville. Rommelfanger moved the entire application as <br />contained in the Authority packets be made a part of the record of this hearing. <br />Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />Authority Member Mulvahill disclosed he had a member of the petitioning team <br />knock on his door; he immediately informed them he was a member of the Local <br />Licensing Authority and did not take part in the survey. <br />Rommelfanger asked for an applicant presentation. Robert Dill, Attorney at Law, <br />introduced himself to the Authority and introduced Richard Womack, General <br />Manager of Beef "O" Brady's. Mr. Dill explained the restaurant hopes to be open <br />mid-November. It is a concept started in the state of Florida, new to Colorado, <br />and the applicant is excited the survey showed nearly 100% in favor of this type <br />of license. <br />Mr. Womack was sworn in and testified. He gave his address as 220 Summit <br />Blvd., Broomfield, CO 80021. He described his extensive restaurant experience <br />over the past 27 years. Beef "O" Brady's was described as a sports and kids <br />centered concept, with comfort food. The restaurant likes to get involved with <br />community and sports. Womack reported he is a TIPS trainer and will have his <br />servers go through the training. He said all persons ordering drinks who look <br />thirty or younger would have their identification checked. He said they really <br />want to encourage a family atmosphere. He reported after his franchisee <br />training, he was certain this concept was a great idea for this area. He desired <br />the liquor license be approved for the increased success of the business. He <br />
