Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />September 22, 2008 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />promised the business would be run with integrity and was encouraged by the <br />many comments he had received from persons stopping by during construction <br />to share stories concerning the previous tenant. <br />Mr. Dill called Mr. Max Scott as a witness. Mr. Mulvahill revealed he had used <br />Mr. Scott's services in his law practice. Discussion ensued as to whether it was <br />a conflict. It was decided it was not. <br />Mr. Scott was given the oath and testified. He gave his address as 1216 <br />Tipperary St., Boulder, CO. He owns Oedipus, Inc. a petitioning company, hired <br />by the potential licensee to do a survey. He explained residents and businesses <br />were included in the survey. He felt this survey showed a strong need and desire <br />for this license. <br />Rommelfanger closed the public hearing and asked for questions from the <br />Authority. <br />Mulvahill moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire <br />the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the <br />neighborhood, all City and state law requirements have been met and, based on <br />these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a Hotel and <br />Restaurant liquor license for Village Square B "O" B, LLC d/b/a Beef "O" Brady's <br />- 585 South Boulder Road. Lipton seconded. Roll Gall Vote: Gunning -yes, <br />Mulvahill -yes, Carlson -yes, Rommelfanger -yes and Lipton -yes. License <br />approved. <br />Police Department Reports <br />No reports <br />Secretary's Report <br />Hanson reported on the attendance at the September 14 seller/server training. <br />Twenty six persons attended with nine from Louisville establishments. <br />Hanson relayed information on the closure of two long time downtown <br />restaurants, TuLien's and Senor T's. <br />Hanson reported the ordinance the Authority asked the Attorney to draft and <br />forward to Council concerning fees and Art Gallery Permits was approved by <br />Council and will take effect October 21, 2008. Rommelfanger also passed on the <br />Mayor's thanks to the Authority members for their continued good work. <br />Authority Attorney's Report <br />None. <br />Authority Comment <br />None. <br />
