Mr. Dill called Mr. Max Scott as a witness. Mr. Mulvahill revealed he had used Mr. Scott's services in his law practice. Discussion ensued as to whether it was a conflict. It was decided it was not. Mr. Scott was given the oath and testified. He gave his address as 1216 Tipperary St., Boulder, CO. He owns Oedipus, Inc. a petitioning company, hired by the potential licensee to do a survey. He explained residents and businesses were included in the survey. He felt this survey showed a strong need and desire for this license. Rommelfanger closed the public hearing and asked for questions from the Authority. Mulvahill moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City and state law requirements have been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a Hotel and Restaurant liquor license for Village Square B "O" B, LLC d/b/a Beef "O" Brady's - 585 South Boulder Road. Lipton seconded. Roll Gall Vote: Gunning -yes, Mulvahill -yes, Carlson -yes, Rommelfanger -yes and Lipton -yes. License approved. Police Department Reports No reports Secretary's Report Hanson reported on the attendance at the September 14 seller/server training. Twenty six persons attended with nine from Louisville establishments. Hanson relayed information on the closure of two long time downtown restaurants, TuLien's and Senor T's. Hanson reported the ordinance the Authority asked the Attorney to draft and forward to Council concerning fees and Art Gallery Permits was approved by Council and will take effect October 21, 2008.
