CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT

Bill Simmons, City Administrator, pointed out that there was a copy of the Town of Superior's ballot
question, which was adopted by the Superior Board of Trustees at their August 25 meeting. The
ballot question was similar to the one that was adopted by the City Council at the August 19 meeting.
There were two differences: 1) adding language in the Superior question about the prohibition of the
annexation on either side of Hwy. 36; 2) there was no reference to the fiscal obligation on the ballot.
Otherwise, they were very similar in content. Additionally, he pointed out a letter Council received
from the City of Ft. Collins thanking Mark Taylor of our Building Department for his participation
and cooperation after the flooding in Ft. Collins. He spent a couple of days there inspecting buildings
along with other building inspectors from other jurisdictions. Downtown improvements will start
September 10, beginning in the 700 and 800 blocks of Front Street, with completion the week of
October 6. Work will continue on South Boulder Road.
