Mr. Eisenberg felt the most commons liquor code violation is selling to a minor however; another <br />problem is selling to intoxicated persons. <br /> <br />Attorney Light had questions relative to the applicant's letters of credit from the bank. He noted each <br />letter had different amounts. <br /> <br />Mr. Eisenberg stated that he had re-evaluated his cash needs and received a higher limit of credit. <br /> <br />Attorney Light asked the status of the liquor license at the Aurora's Sam's Club, with respect to Mr. <br />Eisenberg's shareholdings. <br /> <br />Mr. Eisenberg stated that he is selling 100% of his shares. The City of Aurora's Liquor Licensing <br />Authority is reviewing that matter. <br /> <br />Attorney Light stated that until the shares are sold, and his interest in the Aurora license is effectively <br />transferred, the Authority could not act upon Mr. Eisenberg's application for retail liquor license. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill stated that a temporary permit has been issued pending the change. He felt that Aurora would <br />process that change prior to the Authority's next meeting. <br /> <br />Chairperson ~Ieffers had concerns relative to shelving or product presentation next the steel fence <br />surrounding the proposed liquor store. He felt that could possibly aid persons in scaling the fence to gain <br />access to the liquor. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill stated that issue would be evaluated. <br /> <br />Jeffers also had concerns about internal stings. He felt that if an underage person was part of a sting <br />operation and attempted to purchase alcohol, that would be a violation of the liquor code. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill confirmed that if an internal sting operation sent an underage person into a liquor establishment <br />for alcohol purchases, that would be a violation of the liquor code. The sting operation would have to <br />utilize persons 21 years of age or older. <br /> <br />Jeffers asked Sergeant Riggins if he had any concerns relative to application. <br /> <br />Sergeant Riggins stated that he had no concerns relative to the proposed structure of the liquor store. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill asked the City to republish and re-post for a continued session of the public hearing. At that <br />time he could advise the Authority of the Aurora liquor license transfer matter. <br /> <br />Chairperson ~Ieffers asked if there were any interested parties in the audience that wished to speak in <br />favor of the application. <br /> <br />There were no comments. <br /> <br />Chairperson ileffers asked if there were anyone else that wished to speak in opposition to the application. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> <br />
