meeting. The Secretary was asked to contract the store manager of Safeway for written clarification of
the diagrams, which would provide the locations of the beer storage and coolers on both the before and
after diagrams and outline the old and new exterior walls of the premises.

De

Renewal Application - Zuned Ahmed Khan d/b/a Taj Mahal III, Hotel & Restaurant
License- 1075 So. Boulder Road.

Chairperson Jeff.ers had questions and concerns relative to the renewal application of the Taj Mahal III.
On page 2, Item 5, of the renewal application, the licensee noted that there was a pending court hearing
in the City of Westminster, with regard to the Taj Mahal Restaurant in that city. Mr. Jeffers stated that
he would like to have further clarification of the matter. The renewal application for Taj Mahal III was
continued to the next regular meeting, October 25, 1999, at 7:00 p.m.,

POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT

A. Disturbance at Druid Arms Tavern.

Sergeant Riggins reviewed the police report alleging that an intoxicated person was served at the Druid
Arms establishment. Chairperson Jeffers recused himself from the discussions in this matter, due to
personal friendship with some members of the family involved in this disturbance. Kimmett presided over
the Authority discussion. It was the consensus of the remaining Authority members to continue this
matter until the next regular meeting, when the disposition of the criminal charges filed in the muncipal
court may be available.

B. Disturbance at L & G Liquors.

Sergeant Riggins reviewed the police report at L & G Liquors that alleged that the licensed establishment
sold alcohol to a minor.

After brief discussion, it was the consensus of the Authority that there was sufficient evidence to proceed
with a Show Cause Hearing on a violation of "Selling to an Underage Person."

Chairperson Jeffers moved that the Authority set a Show Cause Hearing for L & G Liquors for the
regular meeting of October 25, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. for potential violations of the State Statutes and
Municipal Code, Section 9.22.060 "Selling to an Underage Person". Kimmett seconded the motion. All
members were in favor, the motion carried.

SECRETARY'S REPORT

The Secretary reported that there would be three vacancies on the Local Licensing Authority by the end
of this calendar year. Members whose terms are ending, and wish to continue to serve on the Authority,
may notify the Secretary in writing. The Mayor and City Council may request letters from those
individuals.

4
