Local Licensing Authority Minutes <br />January 27, 2020 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />A. Show Cause Hearing – Asian Dragon Inc. d/b/a Mr. Sake Sushi & Grill – <br />Beer and Wine License – 1387 E. South Boulder Road – 9/17/19 Incident <br /> <br />Prosecuting Attorney Adam Gollin stated that he has begun conversations <br />with the owner but stated that a translator will be needed to assure the owner <br />understands the proceedings. The licensee agreed. <br /> <br />Members agreed continuing the matter to February 24 would be appropriate <br />Lipton moved to continue the matter; Kaufman seconded the motion. All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />Gollin noted that by the February 24 meeting he would need to determine the <br />corporate structure of the company to be sure who from Ms. Sake has the <br />authority to agree to a stipulation for the Company. <br /> <br />The City will issue a new Show Cause date for the process. <br /> <br />B. Show Cause Hearing – Miles Sports Club Inc. d/b/a Miles Sports Pub and <br />Grub – Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License – 328 McCaslin Blvd. – <br />10/15/19 Incident <br /> <br />Prosecutor Gollin stated he and the owner have been working on this for a <br />while but the owner would like some more time to consider the proposed <br />stipulation. He requested this item be continued to February 24. The licensee <br />agreed. <br /> <br />Members agreed continuing the matter to February 24 would be appropriate <br />Carlson moved to continue the matter; Machado seconded the motion. All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />C. New Application – Bed and Breakfast Permit – The Guest House LLC d/b/a <br />The GuestHouse on Main – 1045 Main Street <br /> <br />Machado noted this is for a Bed and Breakfast. He asked why there was no <br />public hearing required as there is for other new licenses. <br /> <br />Culley stated this is specialty license specifically for Bed & Breakfasts to <br />serve complementary beverages. The same needs and desires requirements <br />for a retail license are not required for this application. The only criteria for <br />approval are that there are no more than 20 sleeping rooms; that at least one <br />meal per day is provided; that there are no sales of alcohol by the dr ink or in <br />sealed containers; and that alcohol is served for no more than four hours in <br />any one day. <br /> <br /> <br />D.
