Mr. Glen Gardner, Store Manager for Safeway Store #2909 was present to review the application to <br />Modify Premises. This had come before the Authority on two different meeting dates, and there were <br />some questions and concerns that they wished to discuss with Mr. Gardner. The main concern expressed <br />by the Authority was the door at the Deli entrance, which is also very close to the 3.2 Beer cases. There <br />was concern that there may be a problem of controlling this area. ARer discussion and review of an <br />enlarged diagram, it was determined that Safeway should be able to control the entrance doors in <br />question. Chairperson Jeffers noted that diagrams were confusing and suggested that the Authority make <br />note, for future references, that the dotted lines are being eliminated. <br /> <br />Request for Transfer of Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License - from RCI Denver, Inc., to <br />Restaurant Concepts II, LLC, d/b/a Applebee's Neighborhood Grill 8: Bar - 592 So. <br />McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Attorney Shawn Chase, of Dill Dill Carr Stonbraker & Hutchings, was present with Scott Adams, <br />General Manager of the Louisville Applebee's. This is a transfer of ownership of a Hotel & Restaurant <br />Liquor License from RCI Denver, Inc., to Restaurant Concepts II, LLC, d/b/a Applebee's Neighborhood <br />Grill & Bar. The State has created a master file for the applicants. CBI and FBI have checked the <br />fingerprints and found no record of any criminal history for the applicants. The Authority Secretary <br />issued a temporary permit on October 26, 1999. <br /> <br />Discussion/Direction - Carrabba's Italilan Grill - Hotel & Restaurant License - 575 <br />McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />At the October 25, 1999 Local Licensing Authority, Attorney Sam Light discussed an issue relative to <br />Carrabba's Italian Grill. According to the PUD application for Carrabba's Italian Grill, the premises <br />drawings showed an outdoor covered, partially enclosed patio where drinks would be served. At the <br />Local Licensing Authority's Public Hearing for Carrabba's, this request was not apparent. They <br />Authority had concerns as to control of liquor within this area. <br /> <br />Mr. Rex Boatright, representing Carrabba's Italian Grill, was present to discuss this issue with the <br />Authority. The Authority members and Mr. Boatright reviewed several diagrams, which illustrated the <br />covered, partially enclosed patio. There was considerable concern that the covered patio would be not be <br />monitored by restaurant personnel and that access to the patio from the parking lot was not sufficiently <br />restricted. Authority members suggested installation of gates that would help prevent customers taking <br />drinks from the premises. Mr. Boatright stated he is aware that some Carrabba's restaurants have some <br />sort of gated or decorative fencing situations in the covered patio area.
