He asked if there <br />were any other questions of the officer. <br /> <br />Attorney Barnett stated that he would reserve the tight to recall the officer for rebuttal, and that was the <br />extent of the City's evidence and witnesses. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers instructed Mr. Rennich to proceed. <br /> <br />Presentation of Evidence by Licensee: <br /> <br />Attorney Rennich stated that before he called Mr. Galvin to give testimony, he would ask Attorney <br />Barnett to say for the record that Mr. Jellema was subpoenaed and did not appear this evening. <br /> <br />Attorney Barnett stated for the record that a subpoena was issued to Paul Jellema, it was served upon <br />him with respect to tonight's heating and apparently, he did not appear. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeff.ers stated that the subpoena is a part of the Authority packet and a part of the record. <br />Attorney Rennich called Mr. Galvin to the witness stand. <br /> <br />Secretary: Raise you tight hand please. Do you solemnly swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that <br />the testimony you are about to give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. <br /> <br />Mr. Galvin: I do. <br /> <br />Attorney Rennich asked the witness to state his name for the record and asked if he was associated with <br />L&G Liquors. <br /> <br />Mr. Galvin stated his name, Gary Galvin, and that he is the owner and operator of L&G Liquors. <br />Attorney Rennich asked the witness to describe L&G Liquor's policy of checking I.D.'s <br /> <br />Mr. Galvin stated that he cards anyone who looks thirty and under, and if falls within six months of being <br />twenty-one, he makes a copy of their I.D. <br /> <br />Attorney Rennich asked if he makes copies in these situations one hundred percent of the time, and asked <br />where he gotten the idea to photocopy I.D.'s. <br /> <br />Mr. Galvin stated that he did make copies 100 percent of the time on questionable licenses and that he <br />got the suggestion from the Division of Alcohol as a way to protect himself. <br />Attorney Rennich asked the witness how long he has owned the store and if he was the sole owner. <br /> <br /> <br />
