CULTURAL NEWS <br />°IA <br />R R1� <br />ANNUAL LABOR DAY PARADE & FALL FESTIVAL <br />This Labor Day weekend, join your neighbors to celebrate <br />with the Labor Day Parade and Fall Festival. The highlight <br />of the weekend is the 84th Annual Labor Day Parade. The <br />theme of this year's parade is "Beach Party". The parade takes <br />place on Main Street at 10 am on Monday, September 2. It <br />runs down Main Street from Lafayette to Elm. The judge's <br />stand will be located at Main and Spruce. <br />MORE LABOR DAY WEEKEND ACTIVITIES <br />Children's Pet Parade will begin at 9 am on Labor Day morn- <br />ing at Main and Walnut. Children 12 and under can register <br />with their pets on Labor Day morning to participate. <br />Labor Day Fall Festival at Memory Square Park offers family <br />fun from 9:00-3:30 on Labor Day including: <br />• Concerts by the kid -delighting duo of Jeff & Paige <br />• Magic shows and balloon twisting <br />• Free swimming all day at Memory Square Pool <br />• Bounce houses and inflatable fun <br />• Art, craft and food vendors <br />• National Fine Arts Show <br />• Homemade pie contest <br />• Labor Day Parade awards ceremony <br />Pints in the park Craft Beer Festival takes place on Saturday, <br />August 31 at Community Park. Tickets are available at the <br />event and through the Louisville Chamber of Commerce. <br />Bocce Tournament on Saturday, August 31 at Memory <br />Square Park celebrates Louisville's long-standing love of <br />bocce. <br />The Annual Senior Dinner will take place at 5 pm on Friday, <br />August 30 at Memory Square Park. Louisville seniors are invit- <br />ed for a free picnic dinner served by volunteers to celebrate <br />and honor the seniors in our community. <br />We look forward to seeing everyone for the Labor Day week- <br />end festivities. Community Park is putting an artistic spin on the earth's <br />natural elements and Stinson's sculpture - which represents <br />fire - is the third sculpture to be added to the garden.The <br />sculpture garden fosters a unique experience for residents <br />and visitors alike, setting this community apart from its <br />neighbors. The Louisville Cultural Council encourages every- <br />one to visit the new sculpture. <br />LOUISVILLE CULTURAL COUNCIL UPDATE <br />This summer, the Louisville Cultural Council hosted a series <br />of five Summer Concerts in the Park on Thursday evenings at <br />Community Park. Thank you to everyone who came out to <br />enjoy these community events! <br />The LCC is bringing music, movies, and art events to you this <br />fall.
