SECRETARY'S REPORT <br /> <br />The Secretary reported on the Liquor Training dates. Two classes were held in Lafayette on Sunday, <br />January 23, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. Jennifer Wickersham, of <br />the Liquor Enforcement Division conducted the training classes. Notices of the scheduled classes were <br />sent to all liquor establishments in Louisville. <br /> <br />A new Authority member directory was provided for review. Changes to information will be made and <br />copies provided to all members. <br /> <br />Also noted was the new open date for the Melting Pot Restaurant now scheduled for the 20~ of <br />February, 2000. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly provided a drat~ of the proposed changes to the Rules of Procedures for the Local <br />Licensing Authority at the last meeting. Changes were made to reflect legislative changes, correct <br />typographical errors and to update the formatting of the document. Attorney Kelly then opened the <br />discussion to suggested changes or revisions by members. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers conducted a review of proposed changes to the Rules of Procedure with the <br />members. A summary of the combined revisions is as follows: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />· Item 4, line 6, sentence added, "The Authority must receive a complete application <br /> before scheduling the public hearing." <br />· Item 5, line 5, sentence added, "The Authority Secretary is hereby authorized to <br /> conduct investigations and issue preliminary findings on behalf of the Authority." <br />· Item 5, line 9, struck, "The Authority Secretary is hereby authorized to conduct <br /> investigations and issue preliminary findings on behalf of the Authority." <br />Page 4 <br />· Item D, line 4, struck, "at least" added, "for a minimum of' <br />· Item I, line 2, struck, "acceptance" added "compliance" <br />· Item J, amended to read as follows, "Licensee must also post the following <br /> "WARNING" notices (all notices are available from the office of the Secretary to the <br /> Authority): <br />Page 5 <br />· under Item J, subsections added to read: <br /> 1. "That it is illegal to sell/serve alcohol to anyone under the age of twenty- <br /> one;" <br /> 2. "That the police must be notified of all disturbances in the licensed <br /> establishment and on the grounds which are a part of the establishment; <br /> and" <br />3. "That it is illegal to serve/sell alcohol to any visibly intoxicated person." <br /> · Item K, line 7, "and must provide evidence of such attendance to the Authority at the <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
